Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act is a Michigan Statue that gives the public the right to documents regarding the affairs of government, public officials and public employees. Under the Act, a person has the right to inspect, copy or receive copies of public records of a public body.

To make a Freedom of Information Request, download and complete the FOIA request form. Your request form can be emailed to FOIA@plainfieldmi.org, or dropped off at the Clerk's office at Township Hall. If you have any questions, please call the Clerk's office at (616) 364-6588. There are also charges that are associated with the Freedom of Information requests which can be viewed on the "FOIA Request Cost Worksheet" form on this page.
